Productivity and Marketing Ideas To Help You Build A Community On LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a great networking site and can be a fun way to build your business and your brand online. (Seriously, it's actually really fun!) I just joined LinkedIn again and I am falling in love! It really stands out from the rest as being refreshing and authentic. I personally find LinkedIn to be a very productivity-focused, positive, engaging and transformational platform. And a lot of the content is super inspiring. LinkedIn is a great way to showcase your business and show people who you really are. And LinkedIn is full of top performers, inspirational people, and great connections! You never know who you might connect with! So engage in the LinkedIn community! Post, comment, share and connect. It is a good idea to pin posts to the top of your profile. So that it will be the first thing your visitors see & did you know that posts that you like in your feed get shared simultaneously your personal timeline? They do! So be selective and strategic with your likes, so as not to clutter your timeline. And try and steer away from too much salesy content on your profile. The LinkedIn community is more interested in personal development type and business growth type content. On LinkedIn I believe that depending on how much you are posting 1 out of every 5 to 7 posts should be marketing your business. While the other 4-6 posts should be engaging in the community, reposting inspirational content and getting involved in the community, sharing quotes, ideas, and exciting posts about what your company is up to, or what amazing solutions your company can provide to the community. You can experiment using different rich contents, like videos, live videos (live videos do really well, boosting comments up to 24), picture collages which are popular on the app, mixed media, and even PPT which can be very creative and informative, at showcasing the team or your brand.
These are just a few things to keep in mind when getting yourself out there on LinkedIn, Whether you are just starting, or have been simply looking for tips and tricks to reconnect.
